Pondicherry | Arrival & Coastal Drive
Upon arrival at Chennai Airport or Railway Station, proceed towards Pondicherry via the scenic East Coast Road (ECR), known for its beautiful coastal views along the Bay of Bengal. En route, you may optionally stop at Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient rock-cut temples and sculptures, including the iconic Shore Temple. Upon arrival in Pondicherry, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore the lively beachside promenade and cafés that reflect the town’s charming French influence. Pondicherry | French Colony, Ashram & Beaches
After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in Pondicherry. Begin with a visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram, a peaceful spiritual center attracting visitors from around the world. Continue to Auroville, an international township promoting peace and unity, and view the famous Matrimandir from the outside. Later, visit the scenic Promenade Beach and Rock Beach, popular spots for relaxing walks and ocean views. Explore the charming streets of the French Colony (White Town), known for its colorful buildings and colonial architecture. Conclude the tour with a visit to the beautiful Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, known for its impressive Gothic-style architecture. The evening is free for shopping and café hopping. Tiruvannamalai (Arunachalam) | Temple & Spiritual Experience
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Tiruvannamalai (Arunachalam), one of South India’s most sacred pilgrimage destinations. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Visit the renowned Arunachaleswarar Temple, one of the Pancha Bhoota temples representing the Fire element and an important spiritual center dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees may also take part in the sacred Girivalam (Giripradakshina), a traditional 14 km walk around the holy Arunachala Hill. Later, visit the peaceful Sri Ramana Ashram, the spiritual center associated with the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. The evening is free for temple darshan and spiritual activities.
