Wayanad | Arrival & Leisure Day
Upon arrival at Calicut Airport or Railway Station, proceed towards Wayanad, a picturesque hill district known for its lush greenery, misty hills, waterfalls, and wildlife. Enjoy a scenic drive through winding roads and forest landscapes as you make your way to the hill station. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel or resort and relax after the journey. The evening is free for leisure, where you can explore the nearby surroundings or simply enjoy the peaceful natural ambiance of Wayanad. Overnight stay in Wayanad.
Wayanad | Waterfalls, Lake & Heritage
After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in Wayanad. Begin with a visit to Pookode Lake, a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by forest where you can enjoy boating and peaceful nature views. Continue to Lakkidi View Point, one of the highest viewpoints in Wayanad offering breathtaking views of the valley and winding roads below. Later, visit the historic Chain Tree, a famous landmark associated with local folklore, and the nearby Karinthandan Temple, which holds cultural significance in the region. Conclude the day with a visit to the scenic Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India, known for its stunning surroundings and optional speed boating activities. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Wayanad.
Wayanad | Adventure & Nature Exploration
After breakfast, proceed for a day of adventure and nature exploration. Visit the famous Edakkal Caves, known for their prehistoric carvings and rock engravings dating back thousands of years (a short trek is required to reach the caves). Later, head to the beautiful Soochipara Waterfalls, a three-tier waterfall surrounded by dense forest and scenic
landscapes. Continue to Phantom Rock, a unique natural rock formation resembling a human skull. You will also visit nearby Tea Plantations, where you can enjoy a peaceful plantation walk and admire the scenic views of the rolling hills. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Wayanad.
Wayanad | Wildlife & Cultural Experience
After breakfast, proceed for wildlife and cultural sightseeing. Visit Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Wayanad Wildlife Reserve, where you can enjoy a wildlife safari (subject to availability) and possibly spot elephants, deer, and other forest animals. Later, visit the tranquil Kuruva Island, a protected river delta on the Kabini River known for its bamboo rafting, nature walks, and rich biodiversity. October to May is ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Monsoon (June–September) offers lush greenery but may restrict trekking and waterfalls access.

Wayanad has a pleasant climate throughout the year. Temperature ranges between 15°C to 30°C. Evenings can be cool, especially in winter.

The journey includes ghat roads with curves and scenic views. Travel time may vary depending on weather and traffic conditions.
