Shillong | Arrival & Transfer from Guwahati
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed and transferred to Shillong, a charming hill station known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake, surrounded by lush green hills and ideal for photography.
On arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the vibrant Police Bazaar, known for shopping and local food. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Cherrapunji | Waterfalls & Caves Exploration
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. En route, visit the scenic Elephant Falls and enjoy breathtaking views from Mawkdok Valley Viewpoint.
Continue to visit Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, and the spectacular Seven Sisters Falls. Explore the fascinating Mawsmai Caves, known for limestone formations.
Check in to your hotel and enjoy the cool, misty atmosphere. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Dawki & Mawlynnong | Crystal River & Clean Village
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Dawki and Mawlynnong. Visit the famous Umngot River, known for its crystal-clear water where boats appear to float in the air. Enjoy a peaceful boating experience and visit the nearby Indo-Bangladesh border.
Later, visit Mawlynnong Village, known as Asia’s cleanest village. Explore its eco-friendly lifestyle and take a short walk to the Living Root Bridge, a unique natural structure formed by tree roots.
Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong | Local Sightseeing & Views
After breakfast, explore Shillong’s scenic attractions. Visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city, followed by the breathtaking Laitlum Canyon, known for its dramatic landscapes.
You may also visit the Don Bosco Museum, showcasing the culture and heritage of Northeast India. Adventure lovers can opt for a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge (Nongriat) (optional).
